The materials table given below displays the mechanical properties of some common aluminum casting alloys. The properties shown for the alloys were obtained from ASTM, SAE and federal specifications for sand, permanent mold and diecasting. Chemical composition limits are for standard foundry alloy ingot, percent maximum, unless shown as a range.
