EPOXY HAS OUTSTANDING ADHESION TO RUBBERS | |

Hackensack, NJ. June 6, 2006-Master Bond EP21TDC-7 is a new two component, room temperature curing epoxy adhesive/sealant/coating developed by Master Bond Inc. EP21TDC-7 bonds well to metals, glass, ceramics, plastics and many rubbers including neoprene, nitrile, SBR and natural rubber. It has a Shore D hardness of 30-35 and an elongation of 300%. EP21TDC-7 offers excellent thermal shock resistance and has a peel strength of >40 pli. It has a service operating temperature range of from -100°F to 250°F.
Master Bond EP21TDC-7 spreads evenly and smoothly. It is 100% reactive and no solvents, diluents or volatiles are emitted during cure. Cures can be accelerated by exposure to heat. EP21TDC-7 has a mix ratio of 1 to 7 by weight. Particularly noteworthy is its ability to cure underwater. EP21TDC-7 offers superior electrical insulation properties and resistance to water, oil and many chemicals. It has a tensile strength of >1,000 psi and a volume resistivity of >1012 ohm-cm. Additionally it will adhere to rubber surfaces without time consuming surface preparation. Master Bond EP21TDC-7 is available for use in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits.
